Photography is a method of visual communication through the use of photographs.

Within any photograph it is the idea that rules and it is the message that is important, the medium and process only support it.

The success of a photo is based on how successful the photographer has been in communicating the idea or concept to the viewer and whether the viewer has been drawn into the picture!

Creativity is portraying an ordinary place or subject in an artistic way that goes beyond the usual method or approach we might consider in taking the photo.

Stepping outside the 'square', being innovative or breaking the 'rules' may bring to a photo a freshness of approach and creativity.

A creative photo will demonstrate artistry, style and individuality and will communicate the author's intention. Also, it will not assume that because the photograph is different, it therefore must be a good photo!

The creative photographer will visualise what they want to convey and this creativity is inherent in each one of us; so explore your creativity and dare to be different!

Follow your own passion and excitement and shoot what excites you, for if you can capture that, you will make a good photo.
